Anyone out there run or familiar with the old Galions? I'm looking at an '87 A-600 Powered by a 6-v71 Detroit I believe and has some kind of 4 speed trans. Mechanically the machine seems pretty solid but I'm unfamiliar with the details on these machines. Only having 4 forward gears was a new one on me. Theoretically the machine has about 9k hours on it. Theres a little history on the motor but nothing on the rest of the machine. Anything anyone knows about them in general would be interesting. I'm looking at it as an additional machine/backup machine for some forestry road contracts I have. Thanks in advance.
